Dr. Mayur Shah, Pharm.D.
Chief Executive Officer
As the co-founder of MRxI and Kushan Education, and the Chief Executive Officer, Mayur oversees the planning and growth of the company. Mayur utilizes the latest technologies to capture the experiences of today’s healthcare practitioners so the student of tomorrow can meet the expectations of the employers.
Dr. Priti Shah, Pharm.D.
Pharmacist & Chief Financial Officer
Priti Shah graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and for years worked as a respected pharmacist, both in retail and her own independent pharmacy. In 2001, while working as pharmacists, Priti and Mayur recognized a lack of training for pharmacy technicians and it inspired the start of a short and educational pharmacy technician training program to bring training and education to technicians; the start of MRxI Corporation. As co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of MRxI Corporation and later Kushan, LLC, Priti has helped create the pharmacy curriculum and manages the financial aspect of the company. She has years of experience teaching and values the opportunity to help educate and serve the community. She is also the proud mother of two, enjoys being active in Boy Scouts, loves the experience of nature and cherishes the opportunity to make others smile.
Sujatha has a Bachelor Degree Koti Women’s College in Hyderabad, India. She has a total of 14 years of accounting and recruiting experience. She has worked with financial and retails clients, helping them in areas such as bookkeeping and finding the right personnel to meet the clients needs. Working with different clients along the way from various fields has given Sujatha many opportunities to learn and grown. She began working with MK Education in August. She is the Instructor Coordinator, which consists of working with Instructors to coordinate their materials and daily activities. With Sujatha’s extensive background in accounting along with her experience with recruiting in IT field, she feels confident in her ability to perform her job at MK. She loves being challenged everyday and always wants to learn something new.
Karen was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She has worked Full time in the Medical field for the last thirty years. She started in the Emergency department/ Registration where she grew to love the fast pace work which includes working the midnight shift. Her passion inspired her to further her education by becoming Patient Care technician and continues to instruct new technicians in the Informatics field.
Karen joined MK Education in January 2016 and enjoys solving problems and assisting others. It’s a wonderful gift to learn something new everyday! She is actively involved with both the Boy Scouts’ and Girls Scouts’ councils and troops. Karen enjoys assisting local troops with their ongoing activities and loves to see the Scouts participate in both educational and worthwhile events, yet still have fun!. She is extremely devoted to local service projects that include the scouts. Last year Karen lead a local troop in an Athletic shoe drive, 255 pairs of shoes were collected in one month! The shoes were then donated and recycled into Tennis and Basketball courts. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Classic movies, Scrapbooking and attending various educational courses.
Bob has spent several decades in the hospital pharmacy environment. Most of that time he was the Director of Pharmacy and had students from various universities doing rotations at that site. He has been on the adjunct faculty of several Colleges of Pharmacy. Bob was the Coordinator of the Pharmacy Technician Program at Harper Community College for 10 years. Recently he has taught at pharmacy technician courses at Baxter International and the College of Du Page. Bob has done teaching and curriculum development for MK Education for the past three years.
I have been working in the Veterinary Field for 20 years. My experience began in general day practice and while attending college to become a Certified Veterinary Technician, I expanded into emergency medicine. I have over 10 years of teaching experience at various colleges, all in veterinary related subject matter. I have written, developed, and facilitated curriculum at various levels and have overseen numerous veterinary field externs in the hospital setting. In 2011, I received a Pet Loss Companioning certificate, and in 2012, completed my Bachelors in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology which is a terminal degree in the field. I have written and published two articles for veterinary medical journals and provide guest lectures on my published subject matter. Presently, I am an adjunct faculty member in a Veterinary Technology program and the Program Director for two Veterinary Assistant Programs. I remain focused on being a lifelong learner and love being able to see learning happen in my classrooms. I have a dog, a box turtle, two kids – one teenager, and one toddler, both of whom should be in their own class of animal, and a husband who sometimes is forced into helping provide veterinary care to our house pets.
Trishna Murad Bio
One of the newest members of the team, Trishna joined MK in December of 2016 as a Marketing Assistant. Besides supporting all the essential marketing campaigns of MK, Trishna is also involved with managing all administrative projects to help the company grow in this evolving fast paced industry. Prior to joining MK, Trishna had earned her degree in Business Administration in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago in 2013. Since then, she has been involved in Marketing and Customer Service, as well as working as an Account Executive for a technological business solutions company. Having exposure to many different fields, Trishna is a perfect fit to help assist with all the marketing and administrative projects of MK. In her free time, Trishna likes to stay active by doing kickboxing and dancing, as well as travel around the world to experience different cities and cultures.
